Donating with Tax benefits/Periodic donations

With a donation agreement with YvYa, you contribute to the development of the Early Warning Scan for breast cancer for 5 years or longer. 

The EWS is being developed and is accessible to all women in the Netherlands. Additionally, you contribute to raising awareness of the necessity to detect breast cancer at a very early stage. Donating with a tax benefit, or periodic donations, is important for this.

Moreover, you can receive a substantial portion of your donations back from the tax authorities, as the YvYa foundation holds ANBI status.

Donating with tax benefits is also known as periodic donations. This is a smart way of giving because you can deduct a periodic donation from your tax return. Additionally, you contribute to the early detection of breast cancer for a longer period. By doing so, you support all women.

What are the conditions of periodic donations?

Not all donations qualify as periodic giving. You are eligible for tax benefits if:

1. your donation is documented in an agreement with YvYa
2. you donate for at least 5 years
3. you donate the same amount every year

Note: You can only enter into an agreement for future donations. Donations made to YvYa before the effective date of the agreement are not taken into account by the tax authorities.

What is the tax refund?

You get up to 37.05% of your donation back from the tax authorities. The exact amount depends on the amount of your donation and income.

How do I enter into a donation agreement?

A periodic donation agreement is easy and free to arrange. The quickest way is to fill out the online form from the Tax Authorities. You can also find it at the bottom of this page.

But of course, you can also request a paper form. In this case, please send the signed agreement to:

Thanks to the donations from our donors, we finance the development of the Early Warning Scan. As a result, women are monitored from a young age. If something goes wrong in the breast, it is detected at a very early stage, much earlier than the woman can discover by 'looking and feeling'.

The earlier breast cancer is detected, the milder the treatment and the better the quality of life for the affected women. This will finally reduce the mortality rate from breast cancer. That is our mission.
